I am deeply interested in the interplay among form, space, geometry and symmetry. This ongoing project is a reflection on these interactions from an artist's point of view. The pictures have been taken on various European locations over a span of a few years and postproduced with the goal of obtaining stylistic unity and coherence. Modern buildings, or sometimes some of their details, have been decontextualized and somehow "abstractized" by projecting them onto a deep black unreal "sky" as to reduce them to pure form. The choice of shading enhances the geometry of the forms but is also meant to create a dreamlike atmosphere where day and night coexist. This day/night ambiguity was remotely inspired by some works of Magritte.
